Free Website Migration

We move your site. You do nothing.

Migrations are the reason most people stay on hosting they have outgrown. So we do them for you, properly, at no charge, on every plan.

  • Everything comes acrossWebsite files, databases, mailboxes with their existing mail, and DNS records.
  • Tested before anything switchesWe stand the site up here and check it works while your old host is still live.
  • No limit and no chargeOne site or fifteen, the migration is free. There is no per-site fee hiding behind this.

How it works

Four steps. The only two that need you are the first and the last, and both are short.

  • 1

    You send us access

Open a ticket with your current hosting control panel login, or FTP and database details if that is all you have. If you are not sure what to send, say so and we will tell you exactly what to ask your current host for.

  • 2

    We copy everything across

Files, databases and mailboxes are copied to your new account here. Your existing site stays online and untouched the entire time.

  • 3

We test it and send you a preview

We check the site loads, forms submit, and mail sends and receives. Then we give you a preview link so you can confirm it looks right before anything is switched.

  • 4

    You approve, we cut over

Once you are happy we help you point your DNS at us. We keep a copy of the old site for a while afterwards, in case something surfaces later.

What to expect

Honest answers about timing and the awkward cases.

A standard site is usually done within one business day of us receiving access. Large stores, sites with very big media libraries, or accounts with many mailboxes take longer, and we will give you a realistic estimate up front rather than after the fact.

Not during the copy, because your old host keeps serving the site throughout. At the DNS switch there is a propagation window where some visitors reach the old server and some the new one. We keep both running during that period so nobody sees an error either way.

Mailboxes and their contents are copied before the cut over, and we do a second sync at switch time to catch anything that arrived in between. Keep your old mailbox configured on one device for a few days as a safety net.

It happens. If you can get a backup file from them, or even just FTP and database access, we can usually work with that. Tell us what you are able to obtain and we will find a route. In the worst case we can rebuild from a public crawl of the site, though we would discuss that with you first.

Yes, on every plan, with no per-site charge. We would rather you arrive on a working site than save a few hours of our time. If your setup is unusual enough to need custom development work, we will tell you before doing anything chargeable.

Ready when you are

Open a ticket with your current hosting details and we will take it from there.
